LCC Wizz Air to base third aircraft at Yerevan
By the end of 2026, the airline will operate flights from Yerevan on 18 routes to 10 countries
Hungarian budget carrier Wizz Air will base a third aircraft at Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport (EVN) in October, adding new destinations, the airline’s Chief Financial Officer Ian Malin announced in late March.
The additional Airbus A321neo will increase the low‑cost carrier’s capacity in Armenia by 20% and will support the launch of new direct flights to Eindhoven (the Netherlands) effective 26 October, and to Brussels‑Charleroi (Belgium) from 1 February 2027. Both routes will operate three times weekly.
Frequencies will also be increased on existing services to Budapest, Paris, Frankfurt and Prague.
Wizz Air established its base at Zvartnots Airport in October 2025 .
By the end of 2026, the airline will operate flights from Yerevan on 18 routes to 10 countries.
The carrier expects to carry approximately 1 million passengers in the Armenian market this year.
