Flyone Asia adds second Airbus A321neo
The carrier becomes first operator of GTF-powered A320neo-family jets in Uzbekistan
Private Uzbek carrier Flyone Asia has announced the arrival of its second narrowbody Airbus A321neo. The one-year-old aircraft, bearing temporary registration N739NK (MSN 12324), arrived in Tashkent on September 3 following a technical inspection in the United States.
Like the airline’s first aircraft of this type received in August, it is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G (GTF family) engines and was previously operated in the fleet of bankrupt US low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines. According to the airline, the first aircraft features a two-class configuration with 8 business class and 221 economy class seats.
As previously reported by CentralAsia+Aero, Flyone Asia became the first operator of A320neo-generation aircraft powered by PW1100G engines in Uzbekistan. Other Uzbek airlines—Uzbekistan Airways, Centrum Air, and Qanot Sharq—fly A320neo and A321neo aircraft equipped with CFM LEAP-1A engines. Across the broader Central Asian region, GTF-powered jets are operated only by Kazakhstan’s flag carrier Air Astana and its low-cost subsidiary FlyArystan.
With a flight range of 7,400 km, Flyone Asia’s new airliners will enable the carrier to launch new routes. Currently, the airline’s longest scheduled route is Tashkent–Riga, spanning 3,600 km. The carrier’s booking system already lists new direct flights from the capital of Uzbekistan to Grozny (starting September 9) and Delhi (starting November 6). Flyone Asia’s fleet also includes one previous-generation Airbus A320ceo (UK32080).
