# Uzbekistan Airways and flydubai sign interline agreement to boost network connectivity

**The agreement offers single-ticket itineraries and through-checked baggage, leveraging Tashkent and Dubai as transit gateways**

Uzbekistan’s flag carrier, Uzbekistan Airways, and UAE-based hybrid operator flydubai have entered into a interline agreement designed to enhance network reach and optimize dual-hub connectivity via Tashkent and Dubai.

The partnership enables Uzbekistan Airways to offer its passengers connections to more than 40 destinations across flydubai’s network via Dubai. Reciprocally, flydubai will feed traffic into Uzbekistan Airways’ Tashkent hub, unlocking onward connections to regional Uzbek markets, key Russian destinations, and major European cities.

Key beyond-point routes now available via Dubai on Uzbekistan Airways’ booking channels include African points (Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Zanzibar), Middle Eastern destinations (Amman, Bahrain, Doha), European cities (Pisa, Naples), alongside leisure and regional hubs such as Muscat, Salalah, and Malé.

In turn, flydubai passengers can leverage Tashkent for onward connectivity to regional Uzbek centers (Bukhara, Fergana, Urgench), Russian cities (including Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk), and primary European destinations—Frankfurt, London, Milan, Munich, Paris, and Rome.

The interline framework simplifies passenger processing by enabling single-ticket issuance across the full itinerary and through-checked baggage to the final destination.

The deal with flydubai marks another step in Uzbekistan Airways' strategy to strengthen its footprint in the Gulf region. Previously, the Uzbek flag carrier entered into a [codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways](https://centralasiaplus.aero/2026/05/16/uzbekistan-airways-signs-codeshare-agreement-with-etihad-airways/), enabling it to place its marketing code on the UAE national carrier’s flights between Tashkent and Abu Dhabi.

"Entering into commercial agreements with flydubai combines our route capabilities, broadens network options, and enhances the international passenger experience," said Shukhrat Khudaykulov, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airways. "This partnership will drive passenger volumes and reinforce Uzbekistan’s positioning as a key aviation hub in Central Asia."

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, added: "Since initiating service to Tashkent in 2019, we have seen consistent demand along this corridor. Expanding our network footprint through strategic partnerships supports bilateral trade and tourism while solidifying Dubai’s position as a global aviation crossroads."

Uzbekistan Airways currently operates 12 weekly frequencies between Tashkent and Dubai utilizing a mixed fleet of Airbus A321neo and Boeing 787 aircraft. flydubai serves the route with double-daily frequencies deployed on its narrowbody Boeing 737 fleet.
