Jiangxi Cargo to Launch Nanjing–Tashkent Freighter Route

Chinese carrier Jiangxi International Cargo Airlines is set to enter the Central Asian market with scheduled freighter services connecting Nanjing and Tashkent, state airport operator Uzbekistan Airports announced following bilateral negotiations.

Scheduled to launch October 12, the route will operate three times weekly utilizing Airbus A330P2F widebody aircraft.

Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, serves as a primary manufacturing and export gateway along the Yangtze River Delta, located 300 kilometers inland from Shanghai. Maindeck capacity on the route is expected to be driven primarily by industrial equipment, automotive components, and cross-border e-commerce volumes.

According to Uzbekistan Airports, the launch of the new route will expand direct cargo air connectivity between China and Uzbekistan while enhancing regional trade and logistics development.

The route expansion follows recent infrastructure moves by Uzbekistan Airports and domestic air cargo carrier My Freighter, which recently established a multimodal air-land transit hub at Tashkent Airport to streamline Chinese e-commerce distribution into the European Union.

The service underscores broader capacity deployment by Chinese logistics providers across Central Asia. In a parallel move, Guangzhou-based China Central Longhao Airlines is scheduled to commence transit freighter operations through Astana International Airport in Kazakhstan this September.
