Air Astana adds biometric authentication to mobile app
The app's interface has also undergone significant optimization to easy booking and travel
Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s flagship carrier, has introduced biometric login capabilities to its mobile application. Travelers can now authenticate using Face ID or fingerprint recognition on both iOS and Android platforms.
In addition to biometrics, the updated app allows users to securely save credit card details and personal information to streamline future bookings and payments. The booking process has also been enhanced to allow passengers to add their Nomad Club loyalty numbers during the initial reservation steps.
The app’s interface has undergone significant optimization. According to the airline, flight status, check-in times, boarding passes, and trip details are now conveniently consolidated into a single view.
Air Astana originally launched its mobile application in 2016, with the most recent major overhaul taking place in the summer of 2025.
