Azerbaijan Airlines receives its fourth A320neo aircraft
The carrier currently operates 28 aircraft
Azerbaijan Airlines has expanded its fleet with a Airbus A320neo narrowbody passenger jet powered by LEAP-1A engines. The aircraft, registered as VP-BCK, arrived at the carrier’s hub airport in Baku from the Airbus assembly line in Hamburg on June 22.
It became the fourth aircraft of this modification in its fleet, according to Azerbaijan Airlines. The previous aircraft of this type (registration number VP-BCG) arrived in Baku at the end of April. Earlier, the airline announced that it plans to receive a total of eight aircraft in 2026.
Azerbaijan Airlines currently operates 28 aircraft, including Embraer E190, A319, and A320 ceo and neo generation, as well as widebody Boeing 787-8 and 767-300ER airliners. By 2032, it aims to increase its fleet size to 50 aircraft.
