Nordwind Airlines is set to launch year-round, scheduled direct flights to Tashkent from Kazan, further heating up competition on the route.
The Russian private carrier will become the fifth player on the city-pair, introducing new capacity alongside Uzbek airlines Uzbekistan Airways and Centrum Air, FlyOne Asia as well as Russia’s UVT Aero, according to airport operator Uzbekistan Airports.
Nordwind plans to operate the service twice weekly starting July 18, with an estimated block time of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
