Azerbaijan Airlines outsources freight pallet management to foreign provider
ACL Airshop to manage operational support and tracking for the carrier's ULD pallets
The flag carrier Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has entrusted the management of its freight pallet fleet to American-Dutch company ACL Airshop. As announced by the latter, under the new agreement, ACL Airshop will assume responsibility for operational support, inventory control, positioning and recovery, repair coordination, and digital ULD tracking for the Azerbaijani airline.
Highlighting the benefits of this partnership for AZAL, the provider cited its partner network across Azerbaijan, the Balkans, and Central Asia, along with its own global network of service centers.
AZAL is not ACL Airshop’s first client in Azerbaijan. In 2024, the company expanded its agreement with local cargo carrier Silk Way West Airlines, which included the implementation of real-time cargo tracking technology.
