LCC Flyone Armenia finalizes order for two Airbus A321neo aircraft
The aircraft will be configured with a 239-seat all-economy layout
Flyone Armenia, the South Caucasus country’s largest carrier, has finalized a firm order with Airbus for two A321neo aircraft. The deal follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed during French President Emmanuel Macron’s official visit to Yerevan in May 2026.
Configured in a high-density 239-seat all-economy layout, the aircraft will be powered by CFM International LEAP-1A engines. The agreement represents Flyone Armenia’s first direct purchase from Airbus and marks a central pillar in the low-cost carrier’s fleet modernization and network expansion strategy.
“Our first direct order with Airbus marks an important and symbolic milestone in Flyone Armenia’s development. Having two new A321neo aircraft built by Airbus specifically for our airline reflects our continued commitment to fleet modernisation and long-term growth. We are proud to strengthen our partnership with Airbus and are confident that this investment will support not only Flyone Armenia’s future development, but also the continued growth of Armenia’s civil aviation sector and its international cooperation,” said Aram Khachatryan, CEO of Flyone Armenia.
“We are very happy to welcome Flyone as a new member of the Airbus family and we look forward to a deep and fruitful collaboration together to support their strategic growth plans,” said Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business.
Established in 2021, the carrier states it operates a fleet of 11 A320-family aircraft. However, official Armenian Civil Aviation Committee records as of September show five aircraft on the national register—four A320ceos and one A321ceo. The variance is attributed to additional aircraft operating under foreign registries within the broader Flyone Group umbrella.
Flyone Armenia’s current network spans approximately 30 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
