Uzbek cargo carrier My Freighter has announced that it has received authorization from UK authorities to operate air cargo flights into the country. The approval—designated as ACC3 (Air Cargo or Mail Carrier Operating into the UK from a Third Country Airport)—is issued by the UK Department for Transport following verification that the carrier meets local aviation security standards.

ACC3 approvals are airport-specific. In the case of My Freighter, the designation authorizes the airline to operate UK-bound cargo flights exclusively out of Tashkent.

“Now that we can officially operate in the United Kingdom, we see this as a huge milestone in our journey in connecting East and West,” the airline said. It now operates 10 Boeing 767 and a single Boeing 757 freighter from Tashkent.

According to the UK aviation authorities, alongside My Freighter, national carrier Uzbekistan Airways as well as private Uzbek airlines Qanot Sharq and Spacebee hold active certificates for cargo flights to the UK from Tashkent. Additionally, Danish carrier Maersk Air Cargo holds an ACC3 designation for UK-bound flights out of Navoi Airport in Uzbekistan.
