Uzbekistan certifies its first private aircraft component MRO provider
This is a joint venture was established by My Freighter and the Ukrainian BEST MRO Group
Uzbekistan’s aviation authorities have issued an approved maintenance organization certificate to Centrum Best MRO. This joint venture was established by My Freighter, the country’s largest private aviation group, and the Ukrainian maintenance provider BEST MRO Group.
Centrum Best MRO has now been authorized to independently perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft wheels, brakes, and batteries for Airbus A320/A321/A330 and Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft, as well as holding a D1 rating for NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) work.
These are the aircraft types currently operated by My Freighter and its passenger division, Centrum Air. Their combined fleet currently stands at 26 aircraft, with plans to expand the fleet to 25 passenger and 15 freighters by the end of the year. By 2030, the group aims to operate 50 aircraft of each category — passenger and cargo.
“We highly value our partnership with My Freighter and Centrum Air, and we believe that Uzbekistan currently holds immense potential to develop into the leading aviation hub of Central Asia,”
The Ukrainian company highlighted that the certification of Centrum Best MRO opens up opportunities for further development in the component sector, the expansion of its capability list, the implementation of new production processes, and the attraction of customers from Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and other regions.
