Centrum Air, Uzbekistan’s largest private carrier, has announced the sale of its first flight ticket using the New Distribution Capability (NDC) data exchange standard. Developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), NDC enables airlines to sell tickets and ancillary services directly to travel agencies and aggregators, bypassing traditional Global Distribution Systems (GDS).

In late March, Centrum Air announced its transition to the new Verteil IT system for ticket and ancillary sales that operates on the NDC standard. The airline noted that completing the first transaction through its own NDC infrastructure serves as practical confirmation of the new offer and order management system’s operational readiness. https://t.me/centralasiaplusaero/2668

Centrum Air has also become the first Uzbek airline to receive the Airline Retailing Maturity (ARM) Index certificate from IATA. This index measures a carrier’s progress in implementing international standards for sales management, distribution, and partner engagement.

Centrum Air stated that it will continue to develop its digital ecosystem, with plans for further functional expansion in line with NDC and IATA international standards.
