Centrum Air takes delivery of its 16th aircraft
With this latest addition, Centrum Air now operates an equal number of Airbus A320ceo and neo-generation aircraft
On May 15, the Uzbek carrier Centrum Air took delivery of an Airbus A320-214, marking the sixteenth aircraft in its fleet. The airliner, registered as UK32077, has been named in honor of Alisher Navoi, the renowned 15th-century Uzbek poet and philosopher.
The new aircraft is configured to carry 186 passengers and is expected to bolster the airline’s operational capacity. According to the company, the jet will be deployed on key routes across the Middle East and the CIS region.
With this latest addition, Centrum Air now operates six Airbus A320ceo family aircraft, matching its fleet of more modern neo generation planes, which includes two A320-251N and four A321-253NX. Additionally, the carrier operates four wide-body A330-300s.
As Uzbekistan’s largest private airline, Centrum Air plans to expand its fleet to 22 aircraft by the end of this year. In 2027, the carrier expects to lease a further eight airliners: three A321neoLR from AerCap and five A320neo family jets from Avolon.
